The Sheldon Arts Foundation Steward Family Plaza
(project completed at DLAND/Sasaki)

The Sheldon Arts Foundation operates the renowned historic Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Gallery in the Grand Center district of St Louis. This project created a singular plaza and event space within a 35’ swath along the building, with a sculptural green wall.

The event plaza is surrounded by rain garden plantings, funded through a grant from MSD Project Clear. The project’s green infrastructure is designed to look ornamental and gardenesque using all plants native to St Louis, with thanks to a collaboration with Scott Woodbury of the Missouri Botanical Garden.
