Petrosino Playground
(work completed at DLAND/Sasaki)

The redesigned New York City Lt. Joseph Petrosino Playground in South Brooklyn responds to community desires by restructuring the park to locate uses according to age group, and provides new spray showers, adult fitness, and new seating.

NYCDEP provided supplemental project funding to manage the stormwater from the playground and the surrounding streets. Stormwater runoff flows from the street into the planting beds, for the larger goal of keeping water in its own watershed.
